Jasvinder Pal Singh M.D., F.A.C.P., F.C.C.P welcomes you to his practice in Pulmonary Medicine.  The goal of this practice is to provide the patients with excellent medical service in a friendly, caring atmosphere.

Dr. Singh has three board certifications:

  1. Internal Medicine

  2. Geriatrics

  3. Pulmonary Diseases

WHAT IS INTERNIST?
An Internist (a specialist of Internal Medicine) specializes in the "Care of Adults" and has completed 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine after completion of medical school.  Internists are "Doctors for Adults".

WHAT IS GERIATRICIAN?
Geriatrics
is the medicine of the elderly.  A Geriatrician has completed a fellowship training in Geriatrics after finishing his 3 years of Internal Medicine residency.

WHAT IS A PULMONOLOGIST?
Pulmonary Medicine
is the medicine of lungs.  A Pulmonologist has completed a fellowship training after Internal Medicine residency in the diseases of the lungs and critical care.

Dr. Singh attended one of the prestigious medical schools in India (Government Medical College, Amritsar).  His residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at East Tennessee State University/James H. Quillen College of Medicine at Johnson City, Tennessee.  He did his Fellowship training in Geriatrics at the same institution. He finished his fellowship training in Pulmonary Diseases & Critical Care at Nassau County Medical Center/State University of NY at Stonybrook, East Meadow, New York.

Dr. Singh is:

  • Fellow of American College of Physicians (ACP)

  • Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP)

  • Member of American Thoracic Society (ATS)

  • Member of North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS).

Dr. Singh has extensive training in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.  His areas of expertise include asthma, difficulty in breathing, chronic coughing, pneumonia, infections of lungs, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, sarcoidosis, sleep apnea, pulmonary function testing and all aspects of critical (intensive) care medicine.
